Client Workstation Communication

The client workstations will freeze up if they cannot access the Data folder on the Server.  Typically a mapped drive letter is used to represent the Data folder on the server, and at times this can get unmapped when a Windows operator logs off of the PC.

If you are using mapped drive letters for the Remotepath on the clients, then one solution would be to use the UNC name instead.  This can be configured for each of the clients by using the IS2000 Configuration Utility and setting the Remotepath property to <\\Server-PC\Data> where Server-PC is the computer name of the server and Data is the shared resource name of the IS2000 Data folder on the server.
