IS2000: Elk: Troubleshooting: Access Denied Invalid PIN

Issue: In the IS2000 Event Manager, a cardholder is unable to go through a door. The message returned states ‘Access Denied: Invalid PIN’ even though you are not using a PIN code or a reader with a keypad.

Causes:  No card formats have been defined in IS2000.

Resolution:  On the IS2000 Server, launch Notepad.

Enter the following text in the Notepad:

[Card_Formats]

1=FacilityCode*

2=FacilityCode*

*Replace ‘FacilityCode’ with the actual Facility Code number of the card used

Save the file as ‘ELK_Card_Formats.ini’ into the IS2000\Data installation folder.

Restart the ELK Driver.
