For more than three decades, Imron Hussain has been developing technology that brings complex physical security systems together into a simpler, unified experience.
His work in integrated security began in the early 1990s, before “unified security” became an industry category. Today, he continues to lead IMRON Corporation's development of open, flexible security technology designed to give organizations greater choice and control.
In 1993, Imron was Chief Engineer and part owner of Westar Systems, where he developed Windows-based software that brought access control, intrusion, fire, and video together under a single interface.
The platform was deployed at major organizations and facilities including IBM, Symantec, Xerox, MGM, Warner Bros. Studios, The Walt Disney Company, Bank of America, and numerous properties in downtown Los Angeles.
Following Westar Systems' success and eventual acquisition by Hirsch Electronics, Imron set out to build his next generation of security technology through IMRON Corporation.
From early integrated security software to today's web-based, AI-enabled UnityIS® platform.
As Chief Engineer and part owner of Westar Systems, Imron developed Windows-based software integrating access control, intrusion, fire, and video through one interface.
IMRON Corporation was founded to develop the next generation of open and integrated access-control and security-management software.
IMRON expanded through a dealer network, providing complete system solutions and growing to thousands of installations worldwide.
UnityIS® brings access control, video, intrusion, biometrics, cybersecurity, automation, AI, and natural-language control together while preserving IMRON's long-standing commitment to open architecture and customer choice.
Imron remains actively involved in product strategy and technology development at IMRON Corporation.
His focus continues to be making security technology more open, more intelligent, and more natural to operate — from integrating best-of-breed hardware to AI-driven workflows and natural-language interaction.
UnityIS® has been deployed across government facilities, airports, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and other organizations around the world.
