Check-in App Instructions

For Staff Only

1. Accessing the App

2. Selecting the Check-In Type:

  • Use the dropdown menu to select one of the following:
  • Admission – for attendee check-in at the front desk.
  • Session Speaker – to record attendance for speaker sessions (CPE tracking).

3. Scanning Attendees

  • After making your selection, you'll see a live camera preview.
  • Ask the attendee to open their QR code ticket (from their confirmation email) and hold it up to the camera.
  • Once the scan is successful, the attendee's name, check-in type, and timestamp are logged automatically.

4. Notes

  • The app automatically saves your last selection, even if you refresh or reopen it.
  • During registration, remind attendees to keep their QR code ticket available for future scans at sponsor booths and sessions.

How to Add the Check-In App to Your Home Screen

You can quickly access the Check-In App by saving it as a shortcut on your phone’s home screen.This will make it launch just like a regular app!

For iPhone (Safari Browser)

  • Open Safari (other browsers won’t work for this step).
  • Go to: https://checkin.imron.com
  • Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  • Scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen.”
  • Tap Add in the top-right corner.
  • You’ll now see an icon for Check-In App on your home screen, tap it anytime to open the app directly.

For Android (Chrome Browser)

  • Open Google Chrome on your phone.
  • Go to: https://checkin.imron.com
  • Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
  • Select "Add to Home screen."
  • Edit the name if you like (e.g., "Check-In App") and tap Add.
  • The shortcut will now appear on your home screen, tap it to open the app instantly.

Troubleshooting

If the camera doesn't appear, check that:

  • You've allowed camera access in your browser.
  • No other app or browser tab is currently using the camera — close those first, then refresh the page.

Refresh the page or restart your browser if scanning doesn't start.

Ensure you have a stable internet connection.

Adjust lighting or distance if the QR code isn't reading clearly.

Contact IMRON staff if issues persist or scans don't seem to log correctly.
